The event was attended by K. Shakirov, Head (Akim) of the Kemin District State Administration, heads of district institutions and organizations, leaders of local self-government bodies, as well as veterans who participated in the Batken events.
The commemorative ceremony began with a minute of silence in honor of the fallen heroes, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial. Speakers emphasized that the Batken events were among the most significant and difficult trials in the history of Kyrgyzstan and stated that the heroism of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to preserve the country’s territorial integrity will never be forgotten.
During the event, gratitude was expressed to the veterans, highlighting that their courage and patriotism serve as an example for the younger generation. It was noted that defending the Motherland is a sacred duty of every citizen and that remembering historical events contributes to strengthening national unity.
